Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather Fight 2015 Rumors:' Money' Wants Two-Thirds of Fight Revenue

Some fans may take this as yet another excuse from Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s camp to forgo the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight, but recent news about the most talked-about matchup indicated that the Money has been asking for a bigger share of the pie or else no bout will happen.

A report from Chris Mannix from SI.com indicated an insider from the American fighter's camp saying that Mayweather is aiming for "two thirds of the share."

"According to a source close to Mayweather, if a Pacquiao fight were to happen, Mayweather would need to receive close to two-thirds of the revenue," Sports Illustrated wrote.

In the Filipino boxer's defense, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum "disputed the number" saying that it isn't that "accurate" at all.

As Mannix reported, Arum recently spoke with CBS CEO Les Moonves this week.

"Based on my conversations, that is not accurate," the promoter in reference to the unbalanced split.

Top Rank, Inc. currently holds the rights on the Pacman's fights.

CBS, on the other hand, is the parent company of Showtime, which Mayweather exclusively signed to air his bouts.

Meanwhile, a report from KickerDaily cited prestigious British boxing trainer Peter Fury saying that the "Fighting Congressman" won't have a chance with the American champion.

In an interview with OTR Boxing Radio's Robert Brown, the mentor said that Mayweather could prove to be too much for Pacquiao.

"No, I don't give Khan, Pacquiao or anybody a chance against Mayweather because Mayweather is that much of an elite fighter," Fury was quoted as saying. "I think it's not a fault or any disrespect to the other fighters he's challenging, he's just in that league all by himself."

When asked directly if Pacquiao could defeat Mayweather, Fury replied: "No, I don't think Manny Pacquiao is gonna compete with Mayweather as well, I think Mayweather can beat Pacquiao."

One of Pacquiao's well-regarded nemeses Juan Manuel Marquez had also voiced out his opinion in a separate interview implying that it would be too hard for Pacman to beat the Money.
