Mariah Carey News: Diva Slams Rumors of Circus Animals on Her Wedding; Insists She's an Animal Lover

Mariah Carey finally cleared the air regarding earlier rumors and speculations that her upcoming wedding with mogul James Packer would involve the use of circus animals. Speaking to Andy Cohen on the show "Watch What Happens Live," Carey said that the rumor got under her skin, adding that it makes her appear as if she wanted to use endangered animals.

"No, that really made me mad. These people really want to tell me I want endangered animals at my wedding… I mean, I have several dogs," the songstress answered E! Online when asked to comment on the rumor.

Carey continued dispelling the rumor, referring to which as ridiculous. She declared that she is an animal lover and an advocate for animal welfare, hence, the rumors are without basis at all.

"… Should I make coats from them all? What else should we do?" she asked as she tried to make sense of the earlier rumors.

In the same interview, Carey also disclosed that both she and Packer want to have a prenuptial agreement after Cohen asked her if they have plans of coming up with one, pointing out that the pair is both valuable.

Nonetheless, Carey was very cautious about spilling details on her upcoming wedding with Packer. When Cohen asked the singer as to who their best man would be and eventually suggested Brett Raner, who was instrumental to Carey and Packer's meeting, the singer politely refused to answer. While she said she liked the idea, she asked the TV host not to talk about such things, adding that she was not willing to divulge details about her wedding any further.

Carey made headlines earlier this year when it was revealed that the Australian mogul proposed and gifted her with a 35-karat diamond engagement ring embedded in platinum. The piece of jewelry was designed by New York-based designer Wilfredo Rosado and carries more than $5 million, as per Entertainment Tonight.

After the engagement was made public, even Carey's former husband, Nick Cannon, wished the couple the best as he greeted his ex and her new partner on his social media account.

Carey and Cannon have two kids, five-year old twins Morocco and Monroe.
