Mariah Carey has reportedly fired her manager, fellow "American Idol" judge Randy Jackson, this week.
Jackson had been Carey's manager since 2011, but the singer appears to have signed with a new managerial company.
While Jackson proved instrumental in signing Carey to a $18 million contract with "American Idol," the pair's working relationship has allegedly been plagued with rumors, disagreements and feuds.
According to reports Wednesday, Carey and the music manager parted ways over "hectic" schedules, reported Showbiz411.
Furthering rumors of Carey's departure from Jackson, the iconic singer just released a new single "Beautiful" through Red Light Management, the same powerhouse company that represents artists such as Alicia Keys and Faith Hill.
However, Carey nor Jackson have acknowledged reports about their working relationship.
Meanwhile, Carey's new single has already made waves on social media sites following its release during "American Idol" on Wednesday. The song's release played a pivotal role in ratings for the reality television show, which competes with "The Voice."
The track features superstar singer Miguel and is said to be in the same vein of Carey's upcoming, yet-to-be-titled new album, which is rumored to have a release date in late June or early July.
Music fans are sounding off on Twitter about "Beautiful" after the song hit the internet
"That new Miguel and Mariah grew on me," wrote Priscilla. "Its on REPEAT!!! #Beautiful"
Cat posted, "I'm so obsessed with this Mariah/Miguel track!"
Speaking to The Grammys about "Beautiful," Carey praised Miguel for his artistry.
"Miguel is one of my favorite new artists, he's just the truth," started the legendary singer. "The best part of making music for me is collaborating and working with new people and fresh sounds and all those things that gets people excited."
