Mariah Carey Says 'Nobody,' Including Herself, Will Perform at Her Wedding

In what could be one of the most shocking statements Mariah Carey has ever said recently, the singer declared that nobody will be performing at her upcoming wedding with billionaire James Packer.

In a short chat with Entertainment Tonight, the legendary singer was asked who she thinks is the best performer to sing at her wedding. She responded, "F**king nobody. Bye!" However, in another interview with the outlet on Monday, she clarified her earlier comments and said, "Of course I'm not going to perform at my wedding...I'm not even sure someone is performing."

She went on to explain that the ceremony won't be a big one and since she and her fiancé have already done everything with the ring, she believes it's "over the top enough."

The "Hero" singer also said earlier that she wants to have a "traditional" wedding instead of the luxurious and heavy ones that celebrities often put up with. She has also tried on the dress she will wear during the wedding and though she wasn't able to reveal who designed her dress, she reassured fans that whoever came up with the gown is an amazing designer.

Meanwhile, Carey also spoke to Andy Cohen on Tuesday's episode of "Watch What Happens Live" and according to E! News, she revealed that she and Packer are planning to have a prenup since "everybody's valuable."

As for the rumors that the couple will be having a circus-themed wedding, Carey immediately shut down the buzz and made it very clear that she's not someone who wants "endangered animals" when she ties the knot.

She further explained that she has always been an animal lover and reiterated that she has several dogs. While the rumors made her "mad," she seems to be at ease now as she continues to prep for the big day.

News of the couple's engagement first emerged on the internet earlier this year. Packer, who is worth over 3 billion, reportedly popped the question while the pair were in Carey's hometown.

It was also reported that Carey's diamond ring is boasting of 35 carats. No wedding date has been announced yet but fans are eager to find out what exactly the award-winning singer is planning for her wedding.
