Mario Lopez Daughter Excited to Become Big Sister

Mario Lopez and his wife Courtney Mazza have announced that they are expecting their second child together on Tuesday.

The announcement was confirmed on "Extra" by the couple and their 2-year-old daughter, Mia.

"I am the happiest father in the world," said Lopez. "We cannot wait to welcome baby Lopez number two into our lives."

Lopez has served as presenter on "Extra" for five years, where Maria Menounos joined him in 2011.

Gia also appeared on the television show holding a sign that read, "I'm going to be a big sister!"

Furthermore, Mazza revealed the details of her pregnancy to Us Weekly.

"I'm due around Gia's birthday [Sept. 11]," said the expectant mother, who is "in that stage where I can't fit into my regular clothes anymore but I can't fit into maternity clothes yet either."

"But I'm good," Mazza added. "It's all good!"

As for their first child, Mazza and Lopez said that Mia was beginning to understand the baby news.

"We're trying to explain it to her, so now she points at Courtney's belly and says, 'Baby baby,'" Lopez told the magazine. "Once mama really starts popping out I think she'll understand more … I can't wait to expand the Lopez family!"

Hollywood is currently experiencing a baby boom, with stars such as Jessica Simpson, Kristen Bell, Kim Kardashian, and Alec Baldwin's wife Hilaria all expecting children this year.

Lopez and Mazza tied the knot last December at a friend's home in Punta Mita, Mexico, where Eva Longoria served as a bridesmaid and Gia as flower girl.

It was the "X-Factor" host's second marriage; Lopez married Ali Landry in 2004, but their marriage was annulled just weeks later.

Meanwhile, Lopez made headlines again this week after being named as the sole host of "X-Factor" while Khloe Kardashian was reportedly not asked to return.

"They are asking Mario to come back, but not Khloe," an insider told The New York Post.

Lopez, 39, is also well known for his role on the television series "Saved By the Bell."
