Marisa Miller Pregnant After 6 Years of Marriage

Marisa Miller and her husband Griffin Guess announced Tuesday that they are expecting their first child together.

The model, 33, released a statement about her pregnancy to People magazine.

"My husband and I have always looked forward to starting a family, but also wanted to enjoy just being married," said the former Victoria's Secret model.

"After six years together, the time feels right," Miller continued. "My sisters and I will all have babies in 2012 so it's such an exciting time."

The former Sports Illustrated cover girl and Guess, a record producer, married on April 15, 2006. Miller, an active surfer, also divulged that she is looking forward to the pregnancy and watching her body change.

"Even though I'm exhausted, gaining weight and breaking out from all the hormones, I'm really enjoying my pregnancy," she said, according to People magazine. "It's all for the baby so I couldn't care less!"

Miller has appeared in magazines including GQ, Maxim, Glamour, Vanity Fair, and Elle, among others, as well as in advertisements for Nordstrom, J. Crew, and True Religion Jeans, to name a few.

Following her pregnancy announcement, Miller replied to fans' congratulations via Twitter.

"Just wanted to thank everyone for the love and support," posted the model. "It's a very happy time for us and your messaged mean a lot! I read every single one. XO"

Moreover, Miller individually thanked friends and fellow celebrities who wished her well, including actress Brooklyn Decker and Buick cars.

Native to Santa Cruz, Calif., the model is also an actress as well as a spokeswoman. Miller has appeared on television series such as "America's Next Top Model" and cameos in HBO's "Entourage" as well as "How I Met Your Mother."

Her first film, "R.I.P.D." with Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges, is set to premiere next year.
