'Married at First Sight' Spoilers, Latest Rumors: Who Lasts and Who Gives Up?

The "extreme social experiment" TV show by FYI "Married at First Sight" has viewers wondering will couples who are total strangers stay or leave the relationship?

"Married at First Sight" is based on a Danish series of the same name. It takes three single men and three single women from the tri-state area and has them fill out a personality profile test conducted by four experts: a sexologist, a spiritualist, a psychologist, and a sociologist. The six individuals will then be paired based on scientific matchmaking methods. Only at the nuptials will the couples be able to meet each other.

The newly marrieds are then housed for a duration of four weeks – nine episodes in total – to find out who among them will remain married or get a divorce.

The latest episode, "Conflict & Resolution," revealed a rather troubled situation for the three pairs as they got to know each other.

For the couple Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner, the issue of trust brought them into conflict. After the two went to the trailer park where Jamie grew up, she confronted her husband for smelling like cigarettes, which he outwardly denied. Later on, Doug admitted to the cameras that he had resumed smoking.

For couple Cortney Hendrix and Jason Carrion, the youngest pair among the three, it's all about giving time to each other as they both have busy working schedules. But the two admitted that they are already making steps to "rearrange their lives" to suit to their newfound relationship.

Psychologist Dr. Joseph Cilona commended the couple's "very mature way" of approaching issues which made him conclude that they are the most likely to last.

"I think that they have really what it takes to make this relationship work and last over the long term," he said.

Lastly, there's Monet Bell and Vaughn Copeland, who found themselves in a quite complicated situation. In Vaughn didn't feel any affection from his new wife, but Monet was rather taken aback by his statement and vehemently reacted.

"He cares about what makes him happy," she said.

The show has already been picked up for a second season.

"Married at First Sight has truly captured viewers' attention and garnered awareness for FYI following our successful rebrand," Jana Bennet, president at FYI, explained.
