Martha Munizzi Signs With Integrity Music

Internationally acclaimed praise and worship artist Martha Munizzi (Martha Munizzi Music) has signed a long-term marketing and distribution agreement with Integrity Music, announced Danny McGuffey, Integrity’s chief marketing officer.

Under this unique agreement with Integrity, Munizzi's previously released albums including The Best Is Yet To Come and Say The Name and all future projects will be distributed to Christian retail outlets through Provident-Integrity Distribution and to general market outlets on the Epic Records label through Sony-BMG Distribution.

“Martha has quickly become one of the most beloved and respected artists in praise & worship and Gospel music today,” says McGuffey. “She is truly a multi-talented and multi-format artist. We fully intend to take her into new markets and are thrilled that she and Dan have chosen Integrity as their new label partner. God is doing great things in Martha’s ministry and with that momentum we will strengthen retail, digital, cellular, international and the direct response markets for the Martha Munizzi brand.”

“Integrity is proud to partner with Martha and Dan Munizzi,” adds Don Moen, president of Integrity Label Group. “We’re honored to help them build a larger platform for their ministry worldwide.”

“We are very excited about our partnership with Integrity and the new opportunities and market reach it brings both within the United States and internationally,” said Dan Munizzi, president/CEO of Martha Munizzi Music.

“Integrity shares our desire to bring all people together through worship,” added Martha Munizzi. “Our goal is to transcend cultural, generational and denominational boundaries. We’re so pleased to have a ministry partner who shares our vision.”

Munizzi released her debut record Say The Name in 2002. By February of this year, she had made Stellar Award history winning an award for New Artist of the Year, a first for a non-African American artist. Fueling her success was the release of The Best Is Yet To Come, produced by Integrity Music’s Israel Houghton, and recorded live at Pastor Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. The Best Is Yet To Come delivered two Dove Award-nominated songs and has remained in the top 20 on the Billboard Gospel Chart for 70 consecutive weeks and is currently the No. 6 best-selling CD in 2005 year-to-date (as of 5-1-05) on Christian SoundScan’s Gospel Chart.

In addition to her live performances and CDs, Munizzi is known for her incomparable songwriting. Her songs such as “Shout,” “Say The Name,” and “Because Of Who You Are” have become praise and worship anthems in churches across America and Karen Clark Sheard, Vicki Yohe, Ron Kenoly and Alvin Slaughter are just a few of the artists who have recorded her songs.

Provident-Integrity Distribution and Sony-BMG Distribution will release Munizzi’s Say The Name and The Best Is Yet To Come CDs in July with her Christmas project, When He Came, to be released in September. A new CD entitled No Limits, which she will record live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on June 3, will be released early next year.
