Another thing to amp the fans' excitement is getting to see Rudd in full costume as thief-turned-superhero Scott Lang a.k.a. Ant-Man. Rudd appeared on the cover of the January issue of Entertainment Weekly, whose team was invited to Atlanta on the set of the film last fall.

The "Ant-Man" comics first came out in 1962 and a year later, Scott had a hand in founding The Avengers team alongside heroes The Hulk and Thor.

A movie for the film was actually planned as far back as 2001 when Edgar Wright, the film's original director, wrote a movie adaptation with comedian and writer Joe Cornish. However, Marvel pushed through first with "Iron Man" in 2008 and the "The Avengers" in 2012, while "Ant-Man" waited in the wings.

Wright told Entertainment Weekly in 2013, however, that it was fine at the time.

"I'd rather do the film with 2015 effects rather than 2005 effects," he said. Unfortunately, Wright ended up backing out of the project in May 2014, which prompted Marvel to bring tap a new director for the project, Peyton Reed.

After a greenlight from Marvel and a cast that boasted the likes of Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Michael Douglas and more, the rest is history and "Ant-Man" is finally ready to be introduced to the world.
