Mass Effect 4 Release Date, Latest News: Playable Alien Race to Come in 4th Installment?

As of today, news about the rumored and the much-anticipated third person shooter game from Bioware, Mass Effect 4, is still devoid of any information about its release date. Speculations suggested that the delay could be brought by the upcoming launch of EA-published RPG, Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Any known major plot or character information from Mass Effect 4 should be taken with a grain of salt.

"That's all going to come out soon," BioWare Edmonton and Montreal executive Aaryn Flynn told Eurogamer.net.

For now, fans may will have to be contented with the initial bits and pieces about the game which was already reported to be totally independent from the ME trilogy.

Meanwhile, there are few rumblings heard around the internet saying that there is a chance that players would get to use alien races as starting characters on the upcoming series.

ME 4 will likely include an alien race as playable characters, according to IB Times. It is an option that is way different from the previous trilogy, which only had human user characters.

The publication further pointed out game producer Mike Gamble, who would not confirm or deny the rumors.

Talking about aliens, reports also indicated the alleged return of alien races, like the Turian and the Asari. ME 3 players know that these races survived the Reapers' harvesting should if they chose to activate the Crucible option.

Other reported involvement of non-human characters in the forthcoming game includes the Qurian Tali'Zorah nar Rayya, Drell Thane Krios, and the recently teased Salarian Mordin Solus.

Gamble, who at Sept. 10, took to his social media to tweet the statement: "I've never seen salarians look so damn good."

It was a post that prompted his followers to beg for some screenshot or proof.

"Gotta be patient man, we will show when we are ready. You'd rather have a great game tomorrow than a bad one today, right?" he replied.
