Auditioning for the show is easy. All you need to do is to pre-register  and answer a few questions about your child. After pre-registering, go to the Open Call venue and bring your child's application. Make sure that the application is signed by the parents or the legal guardian of the child.

The "MasterChef Junior" applicant must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during the Open Call.

Interested young chefs in New York and Texas can go to the following venues for their Open Casting Call:

Manhattan NYC

An Affinia Hotel

371 7th Ave.

New York, NY 10001

Houston, Texas

Four Seasons Houston

Preparing for the Open Call

MasterChef Junior wants to make your child as comfortable as possible during the Open Call. You need to bring your child's favorite apron. Your child is also encouraged to wear something comfortable with no product brand endorsements of any kind.

A day or three after the Open Call, you will know if your child will be selected. Chosen MasterChef Junior applicants need to clear their schedules starting Oct. 10 and especially on Dec. 16. The length of the child's stay on the show will depend on how well he or she does during the competition.

Hefty Cash Prize

If you are confident of your child's prowess in the kitchen, now is the best time to show it to the world. The $100,000 top prize doesn't hurt as well.

Beef wellington. Spinach ravioli. A perfectly cooked steak. Complicated recipes done professionally by kids. Plus throw in Gordon Ramsey's scathing comments and you have the perfect recipe for "MasterChef Junior" season 6.
