Before Jeff Wadlow's completion of the screenplay draft, penning of the MOTU script was handed by various writers including "Pirates of the Caribbean" 1-4 writer Terry Rossio, "The Equalizer's" Richard Wenk, and writing duo of "Predator" Alex Litvak and Michael Finch.

Screen Rant speculated that based on the film credits, the forthcoming title would be a "fun action/fantasy offering" that is nonetheless "more straight-faced than camp-tastic."

The publication further indicated that it is still not clear if the names mentioned would be credited for their artistic contributions on the final acknowledgement.

JoBlo.com meanwhile reported Wadlow's participation in a podcast for He-Man.org. In it he discussed the process he went through in making maquettes, the character designs, the visual effects pre-visualization and a cut trailer which he presented for Columbia.

Several other reports also pointed out that Wadlow is rooted to direct "Masters of the Universe" given the fact that the studio had already given the approval of his script.

The popular multi-media property revolves around the fight between He-Man/She-Ra and Skeletor set in the world of Eternia.
