Matt Damon Would Willingly Turn into 'Daredevil' Only if Christopher Nolan Asks Him

On the big screen, viewers have seen Matt Damon play various roles. They've seen him as a rugby player, a mathematical genius, an astronaut albeit a villainous one in Interstellar, and who can forget his stint as Jason Bourne! But they have yet to see Matt Damon as a superhero on the silver screen and that would really be a treat for fans of Matt Damon.

But that would all change and Matt Damon admits that he will say "YES" in the blink of an eye if a certain director asked him. Matt says he would become a superhero if he got a call from Christopher Nolan.

As people know, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have been good friends for ages. It seems their boyhood fantasy has been playing Daredevil. Then why did Matt not do a single superhero movie yet? Matt says for this, he is the one to blame.

Matt says, "For us it was always Daredevil – that's the comic we read when we were kids." But Matt explained that he was not sure of the director's vision. "When that one came along I chickened out because I couldn't tell. I hadn't seen the director's work and I didn't know. So I just said, 'No,' Ben was like, 'I gotta do it.'"

He revealed that even though he liked Ben as Daredevil, Ben himself was not that happy about it and added, "The movie ended up doing very well, even though I don't think Ben was ultimately very proud of it."

Matt told the New York Daily News, "If Chris Nolan came up to me and said, 'I want to do Daredevil,' I would be in."

This might cause a bit of a legal tangle as Christopher Nolan is currently bound in contract to Warner Bros and Daredevil remains the property of Marvel Studios.

Viewers can only hope Mr. Nolan takes heed of Matt Damon's request and make their wish come true – to see Matt Damon as Daredevil.
