Meagan Good Engaged to Preacher and Producer, Months After Claiming God's Will

Meagan Good, 30-year-old "Californication" actress, is engaged to preacher and producer DeVon Franklin. The announcement comes after previously speaking publicly about having faith that God would bring her a husband who has sold out to him.

Franklin, an executive with Sony Pictures Entertainment and 7th Day Adventist minister, proposed to Good last month in Los Angeles, according to TMZ. The couple reportedly met on the set of the motion picture "Jumping The Broom" where Good was an actress and Franklin was a producer on the set.

In a November 2011 interview with Sister 2 Sister magazine, Good gave a few details about her relationship along with her plans to focus on God despite having a significant other.

"I met someone special, but you know what? I'm so in love with God right now," Good told S2S. "I'm focused on being married to God. I'm celibate."

In the interview, it seemed Good knew that she would marry her suitor. The television and film actress said she had a conversation with God about love interest and a future husband.

"The next guy I meet is [going to be my] husband and I already talked to God about that," Good said. "I was like, 'Check this out Lord, I know what you want for me,' and He really wants a man that has completely sold out for Christ for me, who can help me improve and be better than I am."

In the 2011 interview, Good admitted that she may have found her husband. However, she said she was in no rush.

"So I know exactly what (God) wants for me and I don't know if I have already found it," she said. "It's quite possible that I may have, but I am so not in a rush for anything."

After news of Good's engagement reached Twitter, she posted a collage of photographs with her and Franklin.

"God is real, thank you for all the love," Good tweeted to followers on Monday.
