Meagan Good: God Created Women to Be 'Beautiful, Sexy, Powerful'

Meagan Good, the 32-year-old Christian actress, said that God has created women to be sexy after she faced a great deal of criticism for her outfit choices.

Good, the wife of Hollywood executive and preacher Devon Franklin, has come under fire for some revealing outfits since marrying her husband. However, she does not believe she is wrong to wear things that some may feel are too risque for a preacher's wife.

"I really don't think there's anything wrong with being sexy. God created our bodies as women," Good told Rolling Out magazine. "He created us to be beautiful, to be sexy, to be powerful, to be fearless — to be amazing. I do respect and understand the fact that when you come into the sanctuary, you need to be dressed appropriately because you are not the star — Jesus is the star."

She added, "that I agree with 100 percent."

Still, Good seems to believe that deeming her outfits as "appropriate" is a subjective term.

"'Appropriately' is in each person's own heart and each person's own mind. When you speak to me about 'appropriately,' you're talking about a girl who, at 9 years old, was getting completely naked and dressed around a bunch of drag queens," Good told Rolling Out. "So my upbringing and my experiences as an actress my entire life and the liberalness of my childhood and surroundings, [that shapes] my opinion of 'appropriate.'"

Good called into The Tom Joyner radio show to promote the Zondervan audio release of the "NIV Live Audio Bible Experience" last year. However, comedian J. Anthony Brown made sure to question Good about her skin baring clothing that has made headlines as a preacher's wife.

After Brown questioned if God told her to wear some of her more revealing outfits, Good explained her position on the matter.

"In my personal heart, I'm not convicted about being comfortable with myself and being comfortable with my sexuality," she said.
