Megan Fox has landed a starring role in the upcoming remake of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."
It will be the second time Fox works with director Michael Bay, who directed the famed "Tranformers" franchise. The pair was embroiled in a public dispute while filming the franchise, including Fox referring to Bay as "a nightmare to work for." The feud ultimately resulted in Fox's disappearance from the third installment.
However, today, Fox and Bay have made amends.
"TMNT: we are bringing Megan Fox back into the family," the director excitedly posted to his official website.
It is believed that Fox will portray April O'Neil, according to BBC.
The reboot of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" will be directed by Jonathan Liebesman and is scheduled for release on May 16, 2014.
Meanwhile, Fox and her husband Brian Austin Green recently welcomed their first child together- Noah Shannon Green was born on Sept. 27 last year. It was the second child for Green, who has a son Kassius from a previous relationship.
The proud parents met on the set of "Hope & Faith" in 2004. Green and Fox became engaged in 2006, and after an on-and-off again relationship, married in 2010 at a ceremony in Hawaii.
The 26-year-old "Transformers" star was the first to announce her son's birth and described him as "healthy, happy, and perfect."
"We are humbled to have the opportunity to call ourselves the parents of this beautiful soul and I am forever grateful to God for allowing me to know this kind of boundless, immaculate love," she said.
Moreover, the actress recently revealed "the ultimate satisfaction" and what she wants for the future while speaking to Marie Claire U.K.
"I've never been validated by work or fame or Hollywood or any of that," said Fox speaking to the magazine. "The ultimate satisfaction for me is being with my son."
The "Friends with Kids" star noted that she had always wanted a baby and still wants to grow her family even more.
"I just wan to give Noah as much of myself as I can," said the actress. "And I want to have more kids. That is where my heart is."
