Meizu M2 Rumors, Specs, Release Date: Unannounced Android Midranger Tipped to Come With Smaller Display
Meizu may not be the most popular handset maker in China, but as long as it continues its launch of affordable and quality devices, then it may eventually get the attention it wants.
In a recent report by GSM Arena, the upcoming Meizu smartphone, the m2, has been tipped to arrive with a 4.6-inch display. The rumor is a bit odd considering that the Meizu m1 had a 5-inch display. Still, in spite the shorter screen, the successor will get Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution as well.
In addition to the rumored display size, the report also mentioned the device's alleged MediaTek MT6753 chipset, an octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU, 2GB of RAM, and a generous 32GB of built-in memory.
Other rumored specs include LTE support and a Mali-T720GPU.
Considering that the Meizu m1 was just announced less than six months ago, the rumor about the m2 seemed to be premature. However, in the report, Chinese news websites are saying that the manufacturer has already sent out invites, although there are no exact details about the announcement date.
In addition, a new photo emerged allegedly showcasing the Meizu m2, and it's not just a single unit, but several units in a box. The image shows that the upcoming smartphone will get the same plastic cover as its older sibling.
