Melissa Gorga Affair: Reality Star Victim of Setup, Husband Joe Claims

"Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Joe Gorga recently lashed out at reports claiming his wife Melissa had an extramarital affair.

In February, it was alleged that Melissa, 33, had an affair with her ex-boyfriend Bryan "Bulldog" Bowen, despite her 8-year marriage to Joe Gorga and their three children. In a recent interview, Joe revealed that he believes his wife is simply the victim of another set up.

"I don't even know this guy. People tried to bring this up two years ago; they tried to put this bulls--- out there. All I have to say is, 'Ha, ha, ha,'" Joe told Life & Style magazine.

Bowen, who dated Melissa prior to her marriage to Joe, reportedly claims that in conjunction with the affair, the aspiring singer only married Joe for money. Bowen will reportedly blow the lid on these "secrets" during season five of the hit Bravo TV reality show, according to RadarOnline.com.

"I remember the Friday nite u said 2 me, stop seeing other girls or I will marry that millionaire...Keep talking… I will keep exposing ya 3 hamsters," Bowen recently wrote in a series of tweets reportedly aimed at Melissa and her sisters.

During season four of "Real Housewives," Melissa's alleged past as an exotic dancer was exposed, with multiple sources claiming she once worked at a New Jersey Gentleman's club. Joe, who is often forced to defend his wife, believes that his wife is simply being targeted by troublemakers.

"The poor girl keeps getting all this abuse for no reason. They find a good mom with a good image, and it's like, 'How can we take her down?'" Joe said at the opening of the Sizzle Tans salon in Rockaway, N.J., on Feb. 19.

"We knew what to expect and what I was getting into. If there were skeletons in my closet I would never have gone on the show," he continued. "There's a lot of lies and a lot of accusations … but I love my wife."
