Japanese video game developer Konami released "Metal Gear Solid HD Collection" for PS3 and Xbox 360, a showcase of the most popular Metal Gear Solid titles, on Nov. 8
"The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection" is comprised of five games: "Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty," "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater," and "Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker." It also includes the classic "Metal Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake," which was originally released in Japan to the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1988.
"Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker" was previously released for the PSP handheld system, but it is being re-rendered by Konami for 1080p resolution without the use of an emulator.
Created by revered video game director Hideo Kojima, the stealth-based action series is G.I. Joe meets political drama. A cast of heroes executing missions through enemy installations battle clones, super soldiers, cybernetic ninjas, and hulking, and nuclear missile-firing robots.

"This bundle is the ultimate addition to any gamer's collection."
And nostalgic users and reviewers alike agreed.
“The sound effects, graphics, and voice-work is all intact, just as I remember it,” said one enthusiastic Amazon user. “The music is still beautiful and dynamic, perfectly fitting the changing tones of the storyline. The dynamics between characters are still fun to listen to.”
“Overall, the MGS HD Collection is a pretty hefty package. Three games, achievements, and an opportunity to replay the definitive tactical espionage action experience should make any Metal Gear Solid fan’s mouth water," wrote Trung Bui on GameRant.
The "Metal Gear Solid HD Collection" ships fully re-mastered in two editions: a $49.99 regular version, and a $79.99 limited edition that comes bundled with a 250-page art book.
