Mexico vs. Chile in May 2016 International Friendly Game – Kickoff Time, TV Broadcast and Live Streaming Info: 'El Tri' Eyeing Reigning Champs

Mexico is eyeing reigning Copa America champs, Chile, in an international friendly soccer game that will be played at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California. The match takes place on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 and kick-off time is 10 p.m. ET or (7 p.m. PT).

Both teams are likely favorites to win the Copa America tournament taking place across 10 cities in the U.S. between June 3 - 26. With the sheer amount of Mexican immigrants and descendants living in the U.S., Mexico should feel as if it was playing at home for this one. However, count out reigning champs, Chile, who have a squad capable enough to beat any team participating in the cup, including Mexico.

In fact, this match-up could well be a foreshadow of what the Copa America final may look like since, in addition to Argentina, Brazil and Colombia, Mexico and Chile are arguably very fit to win this cup.

Mexico just came off from defeating Paraguay in another friendly this past Saturday, May 28 in Atlanta, Georgia. Chile on the other hand was not as lucky losing to Jamaica 2 to 1 last Friday on home-turf. Chile should beware of their play in that while they still hold the Copa America title, the tournament is expected to present many surprises including the Jamaican team.

Players to Watch

Some of the players to watch for the Mexican team which is part of Group C (MEX, URU, JAM, VEN) are Rafael Marquez, Chicharito Hernandez, Hector Moreno and Andres Guardado. Chile on the other hand is part of Group D (CHI, ARG, PAN, BOL) and you can look out for the squad's top players in Arturo Vidal, Alexis Sanchez, Claudio Bravo and Marcelo Diaz.
