The Miami Dolphins will play the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Although the game might not seem that exciting for many neutrals - with both sides already irrelevant to the playoffs - both teams have players fighting for their jobs and should provide enough incentive to make this a hard fought contest. The game will start at 1 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream via the link provided below.
The Dolphins are currently tied last in the AFC East with a record of 5-8 along with the Buffalo Bills. However, they are just a game out from the New York Jets in second. However, even though the Jets still have a very outside chance of qualifying for the playoffs, the Dolphins are unable to make the postseason even if they win out the season. The best they can hope for is to win out and close the season on a more respectable 8-8.
One of the major goals for the Dolphins in the final three weeks of this season is to continue the development of young quarterback Ryan Tannehill. He has shown some promising form this season, and if the team can create a more solid platform to utilize his skills then he could lead them to a better 2013-2014 season.
So far this season he has managed 227 completions from 396 attempted throws for 2,709 yards and eight touchdowns.
Meanwhile the Jaguars have been so dreadful all season long that it is even arguable whether a late flourish would save many of the players. Jacksonville come into this game with a terrible 2-11 record and have shown almost no consistency in their good play all season long. They are on the road again today, and despite the Dolphins' own problems, this game would have most pundits betting on a Miami win.
