Miami Heat NBA Trade Rumors, News: With LeBron James Gone, Wade and Bosh to Lead

Basketball fans have been asking, will the Miami Heat still have a chance in the upcoming finals of the 2014-2015 NBA season?

These speculations were expected to rise up after Miami's former star player LeBron James decided to return to his home team Cleveland Cavaliers during his free agency period. But basketball critics and experts thought so otherwise as they see the new Heat line-up would have more motivation to prove among themselves and the ball fans that they are still a team to reckon with, even without LBJ.

An interview with 28-year-old Mario Chalmers revealed LeBron's exit could mean an opportunity for him and other teammates to "shine."

"I feel like I've finally got a chance to shine, show my real game. Me, CB, D-Wade and the rest of the guys, we're going to pick it up, we're still going to play Miami Heat basketball, and we're still gonna be a competitor," the point guard said.

Head coach Erik Spoelstra couldn't agree more. In a statement released to The Miami Herald, the Heat coach revealed he had realized some mistakes from the previous season and thought of ending it as the 69th season of the league nears.

"The team's gambling defense, which left open too many three-point shooters, needs addressing," Spoelstra told the publication."We can't just show up and expect to win it in the fourth quarter any more."

The Epoch Times further cited a report from the South Florida Sun Sentinel saying that team leadership may now come primarily from Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh.

"Erik Spoelstra kept Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem as the two co-captains, and I certainly don't expect that to change. What I do expect to change is Chris Bosh's voice. As the highest-paid player on the team (a distinction he previously shared with James) and holding the longest contract on the team, his voice has to resonate more than it has during the past four seasons," the media outlet said.
