Miami Heat Trade Rumors: Mario Chalmers Stressed Over His Current Standing With The Team

Mario Chalmers is now close to the end of his two-year contract with Miami Heat which would bag him $4.3 million for the final season. Like anyone else in his position, the point guard is reportedly not sure on his standing or whether the team will or will not retain him for the 2015-2016 game season given that the management is still mum about the details.

Citing MiamiHerald.com, a report from Yibada.com revealed that the 29-year-old had talked to the Heat but was instead given a very precarious answer.

"I talked to them at the end of the season," Chalmers said (via Yibada). "They said, 'If we have to trade you, we will. If we don't, we won't.'"

Among the many reasons that shook up his confidence is his performance decline in the previous season brought by the minor knee surgery he underwent in May.

Even his role in the gameplay was a bit questionable with the constant switching between both guard spots and if he was a starter or coming off the bench.

It was, according to him, a bit "disappointing" for not having to do more than what he intended to do.

Adding to the pressure is the countless sports media speculations that often had his named getting tagged along.

"It's always stressful when you hear your name in trade rumors," the athlete shared.

Thankfully, there are people who stood by for the Alaskan-born player. In his interview with the publication earlier this week, Chalmers revealed he had some conversation with two old friends, Dwayne Wade and Lebron James, who told him not to worry about anything as it's all nothing but business.

Sports World Report (via Yibada) said there's a strong possibility that the former Kansas ace will definitely end up in Miami's final roster when the season commences this late October. However, there's also some fear that he might be dealt away come mid-season if new recruits like Josh Richardson and Tyler Johnson perform well for the team.
