The Heat and Bulls played out a tied series during the regular season with each team winning two of the four games against one another. However, the Heat will be firm favorites as No. 1 seeds to take down the No. 5 seeded Bulls in this best of seven post season clash.

Miami managed to hold Milwaukee to just 85.3 points per game on average in Round 1, demonstrating a tight defensive unit, that the Bulls could struggle to work their way through tonight.

The Bulls ruined Miami's regular season run when they defeated the Heat to end their 27 game winning streak – which was just six games short of the all time NBA record.

However, the Heat are renowned for turning the screw on opposition teams in the post season, as they showed against the Bucks. The confident way in which Miami swept Milwaukee aside will have sent a clear message to all other teams in the playoffs that the Heat are definitely the team to beat once again this season.

The Heat will have been concerned about Dwyane Wade's injured right knee that kept him out of Game 4 of Round 1, but their sweep of the Bucks will have ensured he has gained the maximum possible rest before this semifinal.

Wade has recovered well and he is expected to play in the game against the Bulls tonight.

Meanwhile, the Bulls' Luol Deng and Kirk Hinrich are still doubts, and team news for the Bulls just before the game will determine whether at least Deng can make the game tonight.

Derrick Rose will also probably be sitting out the series, meaning that the Bulls will need Carlos Boozer and Joakim Noah to be on top of their games if they are to cause an upset against the Heat in this series.
