Miami Hurricanes vs Marquette Golden Eagles takes place in the NCAA 2013 tournament on Thursday as the March Madness Sweet 16 round opens.
This should be one of the most exciting and intriguing match ups in the Sweet 16 and both teams will be confident they have what it takes to progress.
The game is scheduled to tip off at 7.15 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).
Marquette were far from perfect in their second round encounter against Davidson. Marquette were down by seven points with just 90 seconds remaining on the clock and they looked certain to be on their way home.
However, they came storming back with three three-pointers in a 50 second period and won the game through a last-second layup by Vander Blue in a dramatic finale.
In the third round things were just as dramatic, as the Butler Bulldogs pushed them to the limit. However, once again Marquette were on the right side of a dramatic finish, winning 74-72. In that case Blue once again bailed them out.
Marquette will know they have to improve their game throughout if they are to navigate their way past Miami tonight. However, they will also be buoyed on by the fact that they have made it through to the Sweet 16 and they will not want to waste the second chance that has befallen them.
The No. 2 seeded Miami Hurricanes will be slight favorites over the No. 3 Golden Eagles tonight. They easily dumped Pacific out of the tournament in the second round, before gaining a good win in a tight game against Illinois.
Similarly Miami were behind late on in that game, but Shane Larkin bailed them out with a clutch three-pointer with just a minute to go, and they held on to claim the win.
This is, however, only Miami's second time in the Sweet 16 in their history, and some are wondering whether a lack of experience could be their downfall tonight.
