Michael W. Smith Appears on Jewelry TV and Releases New Album Nov. 22

Christian music legend Michael W. Smith appeared for a performance on Jewelry Television to promote his 23rd album Glory on Sunday.

Performing live on the network at 11:45 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. EST, Glory is an instrumental release slated to hit shelves tomorrow.

“I grew up watching blockbuster movies with scores by John Williams,” Smith said in a press release. “I find myself writing cinematic pieces. Glory feels like a soundtrack and all the movies are in my head. It’s exciting to share this work with JTV’s loyal customers.”

Smith has worked out a partnership deal with AMG-Media Inc. in conjunction with his partnering with JTV's Comfort & Joy Collector's Edition Holiday CD.

The album is an extra throw in with the purchase of items from the network and will include a bonus track called "Forever" from his new album. Comfort and Joy is an interactive CD performed by some of the hosts and employees featuring behind the scenes clips, interviews, and other special offers.

“Michael W. Smith exemplifies the character, moral values and spirit of Jewelry Television,” said CEO and president Tim Matthews in a statement about the deal. “So this partnership is a way of expressing those values to our customers. We are honored Michael is lending his talent to the Comfort & Joy Collector’s Edition Holiday CD. He is making our holiday gift to customers even more special.”
