After Michelle Duggar received a surprise makeover this year, the "19 Kids & Counting" star has admitted it was "good."

The mother of 19 underwent a makeover at the hands of her children and best friend Cindy as part of her 46th birthday present. The special segment aired on last week's episode of "19 Kids & Counting" on TLC.

At the time, she expressed doubts about the new look.

"Oh wow, it's definitely different," Duggar said after her once long and curly hair was trimmed and straightened.

"I thought, 'This is what I look like when I get out of the shower,'" added the reality television star.

Today, Duggar said she likes her birthday gift.

"I enjoyed the fact that my whole family and my girls came up with this amazing way of showing how much they loved me with a 24-hour birthday surprise," she said, according to People magazine.

Duggar admitted her look had not been updated in over 40 years.

"Going from curly to totally straight was a shock for me," Duggar noted. "But I am loving it and I have been doing both styles, curly and straight, since the cut."

Also more comfortable with the new hairstyle is Michelle's husband, Jim Bob.

"I know Jim Bob likes it long and I am trying to impress him- what he likes is what I want," Duggar explained. "I think he was a little shocked at first, it was so straight and so different. But he does like it. I think I shocked everyone at the [birthday] party. They were very surprised."

The family from Arkansas became famous through TLC's reality series about them. Jim Bob and Michelle as well as their 19 children are beloved staples on the network, and continue to spark the interest of online readers.

Members of the Duggar family include Michelle and Jim Bob's children Joshua, 23 (who is married to Anna, 23, and has two children); twins Jana and David-John, 21; Jill, 20; Jessa, 19; Jinger, 17; Joseph, 16; Josiah, 15; Joy-Anna, 14; twins Jedidiah and Jeremiah, 12; Jason, 11; James, 10; Justin, 8; Jackson, 7; Johanna, 6; Jennifer, 4; and Jordyn, 3, and Josie; 2.
