Thursday has arrived with Michelle Obama's birthday, and many are wishing the First Lady of the United States a happy one.
Born Michelle LaVaughn Robinson in Chicago, Illinois on Jan. 17, 1964, the First Lady is celebrating her 49th birthday today, just days before her husband commences his second term as President of the United States.
Before marrying Barack Obama in 1992, Michelle attended Princeton University and Harvard Law School before returning to Chicago to work at a law firm.
While the First Lady has not announced plans for her 49th birthday, in years past, she has celebrated while dining out in Washington, according to Politico.
Meanwhile, Barack Obama's Inaugural ceremony will take place in Washington D.C. on Monday, Jan. 21.
The wife of the 44th President of the U.S. is very popular for not just her sense of style, but for her work with the Lets Move! Campaign, which battles childhood obesity and supports working families.
In 2007, Vanity Fair named Obama among its "10 of the World's Best Dressed People."
President Obama once admitted that his wife is more well-liked than he is when referring to Jay-Z during a fundraiser event last year.
"Jay [Z] knows what my life is like," started the Commander in Chief. "We both have daughters and our wives are more popular than we are."
The Obamas share daughters Sasha and Malia.
On social media sites, the First Lady has received an outpouring of birthday wishes on Thursday.
"Wishing our fabulous FLOTUS Michelle Obama a super duper happy birthday," wrote Julee. "Woot!"
Vibe magazine posted, "49 never looked so beautiful! Happy Birthday to our elegant First Lady, Michelle Obama!"
"Happy Birthday to the Best #FLOTUS the world has ever seen @MichelleObama," wrote Zandria. "Your grace, intelligence, humility & smile radiates like no other!"
Jan. 17 is also the birthday of another one of America's favorite women; actress Betty White turned 91 on Thursday.
