Bieber, the 19-year-old Canadian singer, was accused of assaulting a limousine driver in Toronto, arrested for a DUI and questionable driving in Miami, accused of egging his neighbor's home and pictured performing questionable acts with strippers recently. Still, Mrs. Obama believes that he may simply need to be nurtured.

Mrs. Obama, the First Lady of the United States of America, was questioned about Bieber in a recent interview with Univision Radio host Enrique Santos. She made it clear that she believed Bieber needed more love and attention during his troubling times.

"I would pull him close. You know, I don't know if it would be advice as much as action," Obama told Santos. "I would be very present in his life right now. And I would be probably with him a good chunk of the time, just there to talk, to figure out what's going on in his head, to figure out who's in his life and who's not, you know."

Mrs. Obama of course herself is a mother of two and so she says she can identify with issues concerning growing kids.

"I found that to be the case with my kids. They just want you near, you know - they want that advice from a parent," she told Santos. "They want to see you on a daily basis, you know, because the thing is he's still a kid. He's still growing up. So, I would pull him close."

Scooter Braun, Bieber's manager, took to his Twitter account to let it be known that Bieber was receiving support from both his father and mother.

"For all those asking @JeremyBieber and @pattiemallette love their son. Stop passing judgement on a situation u dont understand," Braun tweeted last month. "..i ask people to be kind and hope for the best in people. not assume the worst. thanks. (SIC)"
