Michelle Williams writes gospel music to inspire others, but Christian author Mandy Hale has inspired her to heal from unhealthy romantic relationships.

Williams, the 35-year-old former Destiny's Child singer who has built a successful career in the gospel music industry, took to Twitter to reveal that Hale's recent blog post for single women is helping her to heal.

"Ladies READ this and get the book too! I'm healing from this myself," Williams wrote.

In Hale's post titled "The Man I Thought Was The One," the Christian author shared an open letter that she wrote to a previous love interest. After writing books and blogs about her heartbreak, Hale decided it was time to close the chapter in her life once and for all.

"For years I asked God to bring closure to this relationship with you…or if not closure, at least a little clarity about what it all meant. This on again, off again, never quite together, never quite apart, yes and no, back and forth relationship," Hale revealed in the open letter on her blog. "What was your greater purpose in my life, if not to be my forever love? It just didn't make sense to me."

However, Hale said she began to see the bigger picture. Overcoming the heartbreak from a tumultuous seven year relationship ultimately brought her closer to God.

"The further away you pulled from me…the closer you pushed me to God. Oh, the conversations I had with God that started off about you but turned into intimate, precious, communion with Him about every topic under the sun," she wrote. "So many heartfelt, transparent, real, raw, candid moments I shared with my precious Jesus…all because I was driven to my knees in prayer about you and for you."

Hale, the 37-year-old author known as "The Single Woman" on social media, wrote Beautiful Uncertainty: Singleness, Surrender and Stepping Out On Faith after she made a vow to seek God first in 2014.

While that promise has yet to result in her single status changing, it did help Hale live what she calls the best year of her life. The blogger-turned-New-York-Times-bestselling author likens her book to a recipe that outlines how she waited on God with purpose by taking chances, getting uncomfortable, being bold and saying "yes" to her dreams and faith.

The Tennessee native believes her book can offer something for people besides just single women since much of life involves some kind of waiting period.

"Of course if you're single you're waiting for love, a relationship, marriage, children etc. If you're not single, we're always waiting for something whether it be a better job, a raise, diploma, answer, miracle or whatever it may be," she told CP. "The thing that I learned over the process of living the events that inspired the book is waiting definitely serves a purpose, but at the same time you don't have to just sit around and wait. You can live and wait at the same time."
