Micromax Yu Yureka Plus Price Update News: Cost Dropped in India, Now Only $140

Micromax is among the top Indian manufacturers of Android devices and yet it seems the company is still eager to sell more devices with its latest price drop.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Indian-based company has announced a price drop for its latest phablet, the Yu Yureka Plus.

Announced a couple of weeks ago, the Micromax Yu Yureka Plus debuted with a price tag of Rs. 9,999 or about $156, which is already cheap considering its decent specs.

But in yet another announcement by Micromax on Monday, the company hinted the price cut for its latest handset. In the report, the Yu Yureka Plus can now be bought in India for only Rs. 8,999 or only $140.

Launched before July ended, the Micromax Yu Yureka Plus boasts a 5.5-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 2GB of RAM, a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 chipset, and 16GB of built-in storage.

Other specs include a 13MP Sony-made camera at the back, and Cyanogen OS 12 out of the box.

Earlier this year, Cyanogen and Micromax struck a deal that allowed the former to provide the OS for the latter. As a result, Cyanogen ceased its partnership with OnePlus after releasing CM 12 for the OnePlus One.
