Microsoft Lumia 535: Features, Specs and Price Revealed

Microsoft and Nokia have teased a new Lumia launch on Nov. 11, and it is rumored that the Lumia 535 will be making its debut on the said day. However, leaked photos may have spoiled the surprise as they feature what the phone looks like. According to Techradar, the photos were leaked by WMPoweruser.

The phone, which echoes the design of previous Lumia phones, will be lacking one distinctive feature—the Nokia logo. Instead, it will sport the Microsoft name on the front of the screen and written horizontally on the back of the device. Aside from that basic difference, there will also be some important changes beneath the phone's colorful shell.

On Tuesday, the phone was officially announced and it has a 5-inch qHD screen with a resolution of 960 x 540, 5 megapixel cameras on the back and front of the phone, and it is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage, which can be expanded by up to 128GB via an SD card. It runs on Windows 8.1.

It is interesting to note that previously launched budget Lumias, such as the 630 and 635, both lack the front facing camera that the 535 has. Moreover, the phone comes in the dual SIM variant, which is a popular option especially in Asian countries.

Microsoft said that the Lumia 535 will go on sale in China, Bangladesh and Hong Kong this month, with "other countries to follow."

Available in blue, orange, green, and black, the Lumia 535 will attract first-time phone buyers and people who are on a tight budget but want a new phone, as it is priced at $136.
