Microsoft Surface Studio vs Apple iMac 2017: Features on par with rival

For most people, one computer can be interchanged with any other computer. However, that is not necessarily the case with the Microsoft Surface Studio. This all-in-one PC is Microsoft's first-ever desktop computer and it follows the release of the Surface Pro tablet and Surface Book laptop lines.

The Microsoft Surface Studio is premium hardware that is essentially on par with Apple's all-in-one PC, the iMac. Both devices may share some sense of sensibility when it comes to their design, but the Microsoft Surface Studio has a lot more to offer.

Microsoft's new desktop computer features a giant 28-inch touchscreen display and a wireless keyboard and mouse. Unlike other desktop PCs, it has enough processing power to deal with several open tabs, Steam windows and Slack chats all at the same time.

The Microsoft Surface Studio also comes with a Surface Pen stylus that is magnetically clipped to the side, just like the stylus of the Surface Pro 4 tablet and Surface Book laptop. What makes this PC even more unique is that its screen is just as thin as its pen.

When it comes to other special features, this PC sports four USB 3.0 ports, a Mini DisplayPort, a headphone jack and an SD card reader. It can sit at a 20-degree angle, making it great for taking notes and sketching. For artists, it is specially designed to complement the Surface Pen stylus.

The PC also comes with some bonuses, including its base being capable of anchoring itself steadily in place. Aside from that, it is also easy to push around the desk, making it easy for the user to flip the device around when he needs to show something from its monitor.

Because of its unprecedented fabulous features, the Microsoft Surface Studio comes with a high price tag. The cheapest version of this PC costs at least $2,999, while its tricked-out configuration costs as much as $4,199.
