Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Movie Release Date, Cast News: Mid-2016 Premiere Will Feature All Star Cast?

A reboot of "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, The Movie" is set to be released in mid-2016, and is rumored to include an A-list cast.

Lionsgate, makers of "The Hunger Games" and "Divergent," is partnering with Saban Entertainment to release a reboot of the "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, The Movie" on July 22, 2016. Speculations have emerged that a cast of A-list actors, including "Kick A--" star, Chloe Grace Moretz, "The Hunger Games" actor, Liam Hemsworth, and Oscar winner, Meryl Streep will be joining the live action movie.

Based on a 1993 children's television series about a group of teens given the extraterrestrial power to "morph" into superheroes to protect the world from alien invaders, the big budget reboot is set to put a dark spin on the original series.
