Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth On A 'Break' After January Jones Scandal

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are reportedly taking a break from their relationship following reports that the Australian actor has fled to Australia to have some space.

The engaged couple, involved for four years, began facing problems at the end of February when Hemsworth, 23, was accused of cheating with Hollywood actress January Jones, 35. While the alleged cheating scandal is yet to be addressed, Cyrus, 19, recently stopped wearing her engagement ring which critics believe is a sign that there could potentially be some truth to the affair claims.

"Liam did fly home [to Australia on March 1] so they could have a break," a source told People magazine. "It doesn't mean that they have split. Miley says they are still together."

The "Hunger Games" star will reportedly spend time in his native of Australia with his older brother Chris as Cyrus is said to be furious over the cheating reports. The former Disney star has been photographed on at least three separate occasions without her 3.5-carat diamond engagement ring in the wake of the scandal.

"Miley is still upset with Liam," the source explained adding "she took the ring off to make him mad."

Hemsworth began dating Cyrus, who is the daughter of famed country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, while filming the 2009 film "The Last Song." The couple's relationship has been up and down ever since, with the pair often breaking up during the early stages of their relationship.

"Miley is crazy about Liam, but sometimes doesn't treat him great," a source previously explained. "She likes things her way and tends to play games. Liam is also a strong person and that's why they often butt heads."
