Miley Cyrus has prompted rumors that she and fiancé Liam Hemsworth have already tied the knot yet again in a recent interview.

The 20-year-old actress who is currently on vacation in Costa Rica with her fiancé recently mentioned that she was married during an interview with Cosmopolitan.

"I'm happy I don't have to date anyone," Cyrus started. "I was like, 'I'm so happy I'm married, because you guys are so cruel!'"

Nevertheless, Hemsworth's representative assured fans that the couple is "definitely not married," according to People magazine.

This is not the first time Cyrus and her fiancé have provoked rumors of having already exchanged their vows. During Christmastime, the pair posted photos to Instagram revealing rings on their weddings fingers.

In the first image posted, Hemsworth was seen with his arm around Cyrus before a Christmas tree.

More importantly, the photo predominantly displays the 23-year-old actor's left ring finger adorned with a dark-colored band, prompting questions that it could be a wedding ring.

Feeding the gossip further about a possible wedding having already taken place between Cyrus and Hemsworth, another photo on Instagram revealed Cyrus donning a band on her ring finger in addition to her engagement ring.

Moreover, in June, Hemsworth sparked speculation on whether or not he had already made Cyrus his wife after he misspoke to the audience at the Australians In Film Awards & Benefit Dinner.

While talking about Cyrus, the "Hunger Games" star said he was married.

"We read together and fell in love and now we're married," said Hemsworth.

Quickly realizing his error, the actor added, "Well, not married yet but we will be."

Cyrus and Hemsworth have been engaged since May 31, 2012 when Hemsworth presented Cyrus with a 3.5-carat cushion-cut diamond ring from jeweler Neil Lane. They had been dating since 2009 after they met while filming "The Last Song."
