Miley Cyrus Parents Call Off Divorce: 'We Realized We Love Each Other'

The parents of Hollywood pop singer Miley Cyrus, Billy Ray and Leticia "Tish," have vowed to work on their marriage just six weeks after agreeing to a divorce.

Tish, 53, who has been married to Billy Ray, 51, for 19 years, abruptly filed for divorce in June after a series of marital woes. While the couple previously claimed that a divorce was in the "best interest" of their family, they have since reportedly had a change of heart.

"We both woke up and realized we love each other and decided we want to stay together," the couple said in a statement obtained by ABC News. "We've had rough times but we both realized we didn't want to be another statistic and wanted to make it work."

The couple, who shares five children (three biological), is said to be working out their differences and more dedicated to their marriage than ever.

In 2010, fans of the "Achy Breaky Heart" singer were left stunned after he abruptly filed for divorce in Tennessee citing "irreconcilable differences."

"As you can imagine, this is a very difficult time for our family," the couple said in a joint statement at the time. "We are trying to work through some personal matters. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers."

Less than six months later, Billy Ray revealed that he had withdrawn the divorce petition during an interview on "The View."

"I want to put my family back together," he said on the ABC talkshow.

Shortly after Tish took to social networking site Facebook to express her gratitude after the singer agreed to work on their marriage.

"Big thanks to all of our family, friends, and fans who have kept us in their thoughts and prayers," she wrote. "Our family weathered a huge storm and I feel we are stronger than we have ever been."
