Miley Cyrus Reveals New Tattoo of Grandmother's Face (PHOTO)

Miley Cyrus showed off a new tattoo of her Grandmother's portrait on social networking site Twitter on Tuesday.

The "Wrecking Ball" singer, 20, added to her tattoo collection after inking her grandmother Loretta Finley's portrait on her arm. Celebrity tattoo artist Kat Von D inked Cyrus' intricate body art and shared photos with her Instagram followers.

"Because i am her favorite & she is mine," Cyrus tweeted alongside a photo of her new tattoo.

"Love, love, loved tattooing you last night, @mileycyrus," Von D wrote via Instagram.

Cyrus, who is still coming to terms with her recent split from Liam Hemsworth, is believed to have more than a dozen tattoos including "Just Breathe" on her torso, "Karma" on her right index finger, and a cross on her right ring finger.

On Tuesday reports claimed the pop star had written an open letter to Hemsworth, 23, apologizing for what some critics believe was "erratic" behavior in the weeks leading up to their split. The singer made headlines in August for her lewd MTV VMAs performance.

"As time has gone on and the anger subsided, Miley has really started to feel the pain of the split," a source told The Sun UK.

"She thought about writing some songs, but then decided why not write a letter to Liam to tell him exactly how she feels," the source explained.

The pair, who got engaged in 2012 after two-years of dating, had a difficult year stemming from reports of an affair involving actress January Jones, 35, in February. In August it was claimed that Cyrus' lewd MTV VMAs performance added strain to her relationship.

"Miley admitted to Liam she has pushed him away and said sorry for acting so mad," the source revealed.

"Miley says in her letter she still loves Liam deeply and has asked him to meet up," the source continued. "It could be for closure or it could be to start again, but she wants to see him and talk things through."
