The game was created by Mojang but the ports are mostly handled by small development team called 4J Studios. Recently, the game development studios has been busy on Twitter, giving out updates to expectant gamers.

First, the PSVita version. Initially, it was speculated for a September release but a release date was never announced officially. According to the studio's tweets, they are still working some more on the game before handing it over to Sony.

For the PlayStation 4, the studio is having trouble with certification with Sony, further delaying the release date for the console.

"#Minecraft PS4 is back with Sony for final testing. Fingers crossed…" the tweet says.

The game is also in its certification process for the Xbox One and is currently undergoing its first round. Certifications are expensive processes so game developers usually try not to do it more than once.

"We've handed Minecraft: Xbox One Edition over to Microsoft for final test! #MinecraftXbox1," 4J Studios said in their tweet along with a photo of, possibly the game cover or main menu.

Both the Playstation 4 and Xbox One versions were initially expected to come out August but development and testing for Minecraft is not easy, with the game being more complicated than it actually seems.
