Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton Divorce News: Talks Split From Shelton For First Time
After months of silence, country music star Miranda Lambert has finally opened up about her much-publicized divorce from fellow singer and husband of four years, Blake Shelton.
In the cover story for the latest issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine, the 32-year-old "Somethin' Bad" singer said, "Marriage is a tough business, and we gave it our best college try."
Lambert and "The Voice" coach Shelton started dating in 2006 after the latter's divorce from his first wife, Kanyette Gern. In 2011, they wed in a Texas ranch in front of 550 guests, including Reba McEntire and Cee Lo Green. They announced their divorce in July.

Explaining that she's still in the middle of processing everything, the multi-awarded singer said, "I had a great relationship with an amazing man, so I know what good is." She added: "I have a great launching pad for the future. I will never take that for granted."
As for her next move, Lambert said she only wants to live her life to the fullest. "Some of that might mean nights on my porch crying, drinking whiskey, and going, 'Man, this sucks right now,'" she admitted.
But she'll keep on making music.
"I feel the sexiest when I'm in my element, which is playing music," she said. The singer added: "It doesn't really matter what I'm wearing necessarily or where I'm at, just on stage with my band playing music is sort of where I feel like I belong and that makes me feel sexy."
Though Lambert and Shelton have been silent about the reasons for the divorce, rumors that Shelton was cheating on his then-wife with a much younger country pop singer had been circulating since early 2013.
Since the divorce, Shelton has began a new relationship with pop singer Gwen Stefani, his "The Voice" co-star. Stefani has also recently gone through a divorce, pulling the plug on her marriage of 13 years with Gavin Rossdale in August. After photos of Shelton and Stefani looking cozy began popping up online in late October, Stefani's rep confirmed that the two had started dating.
