Missing Baby Lisa Irwin: FBI Confiscates Cell Phone of Handyman's Ex-Girlfriend

Authorities are leaving no stone unturned in their search for missing baby Lisa Irwin, and the latest updates report that a woman who was questioned in the disappearance case has had her cell phone confiscated.

Megan Wright admitted that she had dated John Tanko, better known as “Jersey” the handyman, who was suspected of being involved with baby Lisa’s disappearance. The police, who were trying to get information about Tanko and a mysterious phone call Wright received, questioned her for hours.

The woman revealed that they took her cell phone and analyzed some of the conversations she had – including a short phone call she received from one of the stolen phones of the mother of Lisa Irwin. Talking to Fox News, Wright revealed details of some of the things police had asked her:

“Primarily if I had answered my phone or who would have had access to it. If I knew what was said, the conversation that was held, anything about that particular phone call.”

When Wright received her cell phone back, she found that her call history had been deleted. The FBI later returned and took the phone again, and she has not seen it since.

Wright has pledged her full cooperation with the police, but revealed that she lives with a number of other people who had been using her cell phone, and does not know anyone from the Wright family. None of the people living with her could give further details either.

Although Tanko, who had been picked up on charges of tampering with a vehicle earlier in October, had been questioned over the disappearance of Baby Lisa, he has not been identified as a prime suspect. Wright, who broke up with him only weeks before the disappearance, has came out to his defense and said that despite his “criminal mentality,” he would never harm a child.
