'Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation' Release Date, News: New Image Stills Feature High-Octane Scenes

New details have surfaced about the highly-anticipated fifth installment called "Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation."

Three new image stills were revealed by Comic Book Movie, and one of them features Ethan Hunt the IMF agent getting into trouble. Present to rescue the tied up operative is newcomer Rebecca Fergusson as Ilsa Faust, who is seen elbowing what appears to be members of the movie's antagonist group known as "The Syndicate."

The other photo showed Simon Pegg, who plays the tech genius Benji Dunn, strapped in what is probably a lie detector apparatus. The whole process is facilitated by the Head of the CIA, who is played by Alec Baldwin.

Not much has been revealed yet about the film's plotline. It was reported earlier that the new film will find Hunt's "highly effective but destructive Impossible Mission Force (IMF) getting disbanded by vengeful Washington bureaucrats such as the CIA Chief (Baldwin)."

"Hunt pulls his team together (Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames and newcomer Rebecca Ferguson) to battle the shadowy force known as 'The Syndicate' and its elusive leader (Sean Harris)," the synopsis of the film reads.

The world premiere of "Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation" will be held at the Vienna Opera House on July 23 with some of the cast members present like Cruise, Pegg, Fergusson and "Jack Reacher" helmer, Christopher McQuarrie, according to Tom Cruise's official blog.

"Avengers: Age of Ultron" star Jeremy Renner and franchise mainstay Ving Rhames are also appearing in the movie.

The film is scheduled for release in North America via Paramount Pictures this July 31, 2015.
