MLB Trade Rumors: White Sox Get Todd Frazier in Three-Team Trade
The Chicago White Sox made a deal with a couple of teams involving seven players, which landed them a player of high value in Todd Frazier. The deal was participated by the Cincinnati Reds and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Reds, on the other hand, received Jose Peraza and Brandon Dixon, both infielders, and outfielder Scott Schebler from the Dodgers. Meanwhile, the Dodgers get Frankie Montas (pitcher), infielder Micah Johnson, and outfielder Trayce Thompson from the White Sox.
The addition of the 29-year-old to the White Sox lineup will likely suggest that current infielder Brett Lawrie will be relegated to second base from third base. Frazier is a type of guy who deserves to be traded for several players in return. He won the All-Star Home Derby and became a National League All-Star the past season.

Based on what each participating team got in this trade, it looks like everyone's a winner. Chicago definitely will get that much-needed improvement in their lineup with Frazier on board, while the Dodgers finally cut some money they owe to a high quality but expensive outfielder in Schebler.
All the players involved in this trade were top prospects. For one, Schebler was ranked by the Dodgers at 13th, while Peraza was even higher at 4th. Meanwhile, Montas was picked up by the White Sox as a 3rd ranked prospect, with Johnson close behind at fifth.
Frazier for his part couldn't hide his excitement in playing for the American League. "I'm pretty excited. I've got to be truthful with you. I know it's the American League. I know it's gonna be a little different," he said.
According to Chicago general manager Rich Hahn, Frazier's a top caliber third baseman in the MLB. "Todd is one of the finer all-around third basemen in the league. He is a high-character, smart baseball player who will provide an impact bat in the middle of our order," he added.
