Mom Wrestles Son From Kidnapper After He Attempted to Abduct 3 Year Old in Park

A mom has wrestled her son from a kidnapper after the stranger attempted to snatch her three year old from his bike as they were playing in the park in Charlotte, Carolina.

The mom has told police that she had decided just to hang out with her son in the park playing for the day. However, the attempted abduction happened as the kidnapper walked passed them, then suddenly turned around and grabbed her toddler son.

The mom's instincts immediately kicked in and she quickly grabbed onto her son, wrestling the stranger for him. After a short struggle she was eventually able to snatch her son back and escape without being harmed.

Mother, Camilla McCall, later issued a statement to media stating: "He just snatched him around the waist, off the bike and that's when I jumped on, and grabbed Liam and that's when we were fighting about him. The only thing I could think of is, I've got to hold on to him as tight as I can."

Once the man had lost the battle for the boy he quickly turned and fled the scene. The police were immediately notified and a search was conducted for the kidnapper.

A box belonging to the man was found in the park, which contained a receipt from a nearby restaurant. The surveillance footage from their cameras helped police to identify the kidnapper and authorities were later able to apprehend him. He was identified as Jerry White, a local 41 year old, who has been arrested 103 times in the past.

Most of his arrests have been for minor offenses that were non-violent, and it was for that reason that he has not been put behind bars until now. However, the young boy's mom in this case has expressed her shock that the man was still able to wander the streets after so many arrests. She has said, "That is crazy that he is still walking around here in our neighborhood and he's been arrested that many times."
