Moody Distance Learning Center, Logos Bible Software Join for Bible Courseware

Moody Distance Learning Center and Logos Bible Software teamed up to develop electronic Bible courseware that contains access to a multitude of digital library resources.

The courseware is named AM; A corresponds to the characteristic of the electronic courseware which is available anytime, anywhere, and to anyone, and M stands for Moody.

"AM is practical, available to anyone within reach of technology, is not partial to distance or location, and will not interfere with an individual's daily responsibilities," said Bill Blocker, division manager of MDLC.

Blocker said AM will be a supplemental material to busy pastors, lay leaders, housewives, businesspersons, college students, and many others who cannot attend seminary or a Bible school.

AM will contain 33 of Independent Studies courses from Old Testament, New Testament, and ministry and leadership topics existing at MDLC.

In conjunction with Logos Bible Software, Moody will equip learners with the knowledge and skills they need for self-directed study. When the learners pass quizzes and exams and complete the courses, they will receive a certificate of completion in that particular topic of study.

John Bryant, director of special projects at Logos said, “learners can study anywhere and have all their materials and a complete library with them."

AM is scheduled to be released in Fall 2004.
