Mortal Kombat X Characters News, Release Date for PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360: New Character To Be Revealed This Month

The newest Mortal Kombat game is set to make its debut a couple of months from now.

Unfortunately, for fans who are waiting eagerly and patiently for the game, there are very little details being revealed about the characters in Mortal Kombat X.

So far, the developers want a game that will be closer to reality than the franchise has ever been.

"The mantra for this game has always been realism; heading towards a more realistic look," said Spiro Anagnostakos, the game's production manager.

If this is what the developers want, that means Mortal Kombat X could feature more realistic fight graphics, detailed faces and skins, more fluent animations, and better finishing moves.

So far, there are only four confirmed characters that include Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Reptile and Kitana. In the report by VG 24/7, the new character will be unveiled this month.

Various reports have mentioned that the game would feature a non-linear campaign game that would tread on the original storylines of the Mortal Kombat characters.

Unfortunately, for people who want to try a demo first before buying the game, the developer will not offer any.

Ed Boon, the creator of Mortal Kombat, stated that there would be no demos for the latest version of the game.

According to the game's producer, Shaun Himmerick, the development time is too limited for the developers to create a demo version of the game.

One of the new features of the game include Faction Wars, a ladder system where players may join different factions and climb the ladder for experience. There are also characters that have different fighter 'variations'.

For instance, in a report by the Latin Post, Reptile has three types of fighting variations or styles namely, Deceptive, Nimble and Noxious.

In the report, deceptive gives him invisibility, nimble makes him fast, while making the opponent slow, and noxious uses poison gas.

Mortal Kombat X is slated for release on April 14 for Playstation 4 and Xbox One, with ports to PS3 and Xbox 360 coming soon.
