Mortal Kombat X New Characters News: Brutalities in Comeback

"Mortal Kombat X," the 21st video game developed for the "Mortal Kombat" series will be released April 14. The game's creators also confirmed that they will not be releasing a demo for the game. In a recent livestream, NetherRealm confirmed that the new game will feature brutalities that were formerly introduced in Mortal Kombat III.

Brutalities are finishing moves that fighters in the game can use to finish off their opponent. They were called brutalities because of the extra blood and gore that is shown as these moves are executed. In the series, there different types of finishing moves such as fatalities, friendship, animalities and babalities, each executed using a combination of keys.

The report says that the brutalities shown to be part of the new game are pretty gruesome and it also said that around 100 types of brutalities will be available in the game.

In another report in Gamespot, NetherRealm justified why they were no longer making a demo. Shaun Himmerick said that they will use the time for "polishing and refining the game," which will make for a better game.

Mortal Kombat X will also bring with it new characters who will introduced as part of line-up of fighters. One report in Gamespot said that a recent issue of the companion comic book, a new character called Erron Black appears as a "Wild West gunslinger" with a cowboy hat and matching ammo. Revelation of a new character will be happening before the weekend.

Another new character will be revealed next month, before the release date.

The new game is created by NetherRealm Studios under the leadership of Ed Boon. The original Mortal Kombat series was first developed by Midway Games Chicago. In 2011 however Warner Brothers bought the development team when Midway declared bankruptcy and it became NetherRealm Studios.

The series is considered to be one of the most "successful and influential fighting franchises in the history of video games."
