Moto 360 vs. LG G Watch R Comparison: Which One Fits Best on Your Wrist?
2014 is undoubtedly the Year of The Smartwatches, with the trend of techy timepieces already gaining popularity among users.
Needless to say, tech companies are now in a stiff competition to outbest their competitors when it comes to design and functionality. Among the many that caught the public attention are the elegant round faces of Motorola and LG timepieces: the Moto 360 and LG G Watch R, respectively.
So, how do the two differ from each other?
Design
As already mentioned, both watches don similar round shapes. However, the Moto 360 has a body made from brushed stainless steel, completed with a leather strap that comes in several color options like gray and stone leather.
The most notable feature of the G Watch R is its classic wristwatch design with the power button located at the right, front-facing side and a numbered bezel.
Display
As of display, the 1.56-inch diameter of Moto 360, coated with Corning Gorilla Glass is surely a stunner. It has a 320 x 290 resolution with 205 ppi density LCD display. Coming in close is the G Watch R with OLED display measuring about 1.3-inches in diameter with 320 x 330 pixel resolution.
Under the Hood
The Moto 360 prides itself with the TI OMAP 3 processor with an internal storage capacity of 4GB and a 512 amount of RAM. The G Watch, though it has the same memory stats, has a Snapdragon 400 processor (clocking at 1.2 GHz) that could set the difference.
Both devices run on Android Wear and can be operated through smartphones that has at least Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS.
Battery
The Moto 360 is said to last up to 20 hours with its 320 mAh battery. On the other hand, the LG G Watch R's 410 mAh battery can last much longer, especially if its heart monitor is disabled.
Price Ranges
As reported, the LG G Watch R is available for $328. Meanwhile, the Motorola Moto 360 is priced at $260.
