Moto G (3rd Gen) Specs, Release Date: Next-Gen Midranger Reveals Specs in Swiss Online Retailer Listing

The Moto G has been among the most popular handsets for Motorola, mainly because it gave a healthy mix of affordability and quality. It provided most if not all of the basic specs and features in an Android smartphone, but it was priced very aggressively.

And as the result of this success, the Lenovo-owned company will be unveiling a third-generation Moto G this year. There will be a global press event for Motorola on July 28, but it is still isn't clear whether the phone maker would include the Moto G (3rd Gen) to its list of unveiled devices.

However, according to a report by GSM Arena, a Swiss online retailer may have just unveiled the full specs list of the new Motorola Moto G smartphone.

Based on the online listing of Digitec, the Android-powered smartphone will pack a 5-inch display with a Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, a quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU clocked at 1.7GHz, 2GB of RAM, Adreno 405 GPU, and a Snapdragon 610 chipset that is expected to support 64-bit applications.

Other specs include an 8GB built-in storage, probably with a microSD card slot, 4G LTE connectivity, stereo speakers, FM radio, and a relatively small 2,070mAh battery.

While there are no details about the camera, the Moto G (3rd Gen) is expected to get a 13MP primary camera, with a potential 5MP front shooter. The Motorola handset is tipped to run on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.

With the final quarter of the year just around the corner, we'll expect Motorola to make the announcement before or in August.
