Moto G Price to be Set for $100 on Verizon Without Contract
The Moto G price could be set for $100 off-contract for Verizon customers.
A Google+ user named Josue Joseph who also claims to be a Best Buy employee posted up a picture of the new device in its packaging and also wrote "look at what just arrived."
Joseph said that he doesn't know the "street date" for the Moto G and cannot sell it yet and also thinks it will retail for $100. He stated that the deal for the Moto G will not require customers to sign a new contract with Verizon and that this model will not work on any other carrier. This is the reason Verizon is able to charge so little for it.

Neither Big Red nor Motorola has confirmed anything at this time regarding the Moto G's release so all of this information should be taken with a grain of salt.
The Moto G was launched earlier this year and is similar to the Moto X. The device packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, a 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front shooter, Android 4.4, KitKat or Android 4.3 depending on the variant, a 4.5-inch LCD display with 720 x 1280 resolution at 329 ppi and 16GB of internal storage.
The Moto G received rave reviews and was even crowned Product of the Year at the 2013 TrustedReviews Awards. The smartphone is an extremely affordable SIM-free handset which makes it even more appealing to the average customer not looking to lock into a contract.
The 8GB Moto G retails for $179 while the 16GB model sells for $199 and both come automatically unlocked through other carriers and retailers. Verizon's price is also expected to land around where these numbers are, despite the Best Buy employee's information.
